Welcome to the Kingdom of Numerica, a land ruled by the sharpest minds and boldest guessers. Every decade, the coveted 500 Numbers Throne is decided in a legendary tournament where contestants face off, striving to outwit each other by guessing their opponents’ numbers.

This year’s tournament is fiercer than ever, with 8 challengers ready to battle it out. But you, a contender with a unique gift, hold a decisive advantage—the ability to foresee your opponents’ strategies.

Will you use this power wisely to outguess, outplay, and outlast your rivals? Do you have the cunning and determination to rise above the rest and claim the throne?

How to Play

1. Start the Tournament

After selecting your name, the tournament will be automatically drafted, and you’ll be placed in a match against a unique contender. Each of your opponents has their own secret strategy that you can see before or during the battle.

2. View Opponent Information

To view your opponent’s strategy, simply click the “Info” button located in the top-left corner of the screen. This will reveal crucial information about how they plan to guess numbers.

3. 18 Unique Contestants

There are 18 different contenders, each with their own distinct guessing strategy. Study their methods carefully, as every player plays with a different approach.

4. Guess the Right Numbers

Knowing your opponent’s strategy is helpful, but it’s not enough to win. You still need to guess the right numbers in the limited number of attempts. Make every guess count!

5. Compete for the Throne

Do you have what it takes to win the 500 Numbers Throne? Finish the tournament in the fewest attempts possible and share your record below to see who can finish the quickest!

Personal Note from the Developer

The GitHub Game Off 2024 was my first-ever attempt at creating a game, and what an adventure it has been! Despite facing personal challenges that left me with less than a month to work on it, I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve accomplished.

Sure, I had to scrap a lot of ideas along the way, and yes, the final export didn’t quite turn out as polished as I hoped. But at the end of the day, I delivered something—a playable game that represents my journey as a developer.

Who knows? This might just be the beginning. There’s always room to improve, expand, and take this concept to new heights. Thank you for playing and being a part of this milestone in my journey!

Why make this game?

This project is being developed as part of GitHub’s Game Off 2024 annual game jam. Game Off is a month-long challenge where developers are encouraged to create games using any programming languages, game engines, or libraries they prefer.
